Our blue poly filter is made of a high-loft, multi-denier polyester media. This material makes an economical prefilter to extend the life of your final filter. It can also be used as a stand-alone filter for low air flow applications or where the demand for cleaner air is low. The media is not treated with any antimicrobial or tackifier.
The filters are encased in a strong double walled beverage board frame which is not affected by moisture and is a perfect choice for high humidity or intermittent moisture conditions. For maximum efficiency, change this filter once a month. Because of its low resistance and low MERV (MERV is less than 8), it will not cause coils to ice up if you forget to change the filter. Each case contains 6 disposable filters.
Applications:
Blue Polyester filters can be used in most applications in HVAC systems, unit ventilators and fan coil units.
